Chicago police have launched pictures of a person who they are saying pulled a gun and aimed it at a TV news crew as a reporter was doing a narrative on gun violence.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the unidentified man walked behind a reporter, flashed what seemed to be a gun towards the digicam and walked off about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in downtown Chicago.
The pair have been in the midst of a live segment about this week’s mass Texas school shooting when the person handed behind Fox 32 news crew reporter Joanie Lum.
No pictures have been fired, in response to police.
“Our reporter and photographer were not injured and we want to say thank you to the viewers…who called or emailed to make sure our crew was OK,” Fox 32 anchor Natalie Bomke reported on air after the assault.
